Today over 24,000 children and young people live away from their birth parents. They are New Zealand's most disadvantaged children, suffering from the trauma of abuse and neglect. They need love, support and stability in order to thrive in life. Caring Families Aotearoa, formerly Fostering Kids NZ, provide foster and whanau caregivers with free practical support, training and advocacy services to turn around the lives of the children in their care.
